Services are available to any member of the community without regard of race, religion, national origin, gender, social position, handicap, financial status or ability to pay.
All counselors providing this service are certified by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and have an average of three to five years experience in a counseling, education, lending, or credit-related field.
Involvement with a debt management plan could be reflected on your credit report in a favorable or unfavorable way according to creditor’s reporting policies.
The fee for course one, pre-petition bankruptcy counseling, is up to $55 for counseling over the telephone or in person and $45 over the internet. The fee for course two, debtor education, is up to $59 for counseling over the telephone or in person and $55 over the internet. The fee for returning clients for the debtor education course over the telephone or in person is up to $49 (a savings of $10) or by internet the fee is $35 (a savings of $20). Springboard may waive or reduce the fee if you are unable to pay for the fee. These fees are the same for either a single filer or joint filers if both attend the same session.
Springboard receives funding from its clients, government entities and sponsored enterprises, foundations and corporations who support our counseling and educational services and programs, including voluntary contributions from creditors for clients enrolled in our debt management plan.
