Bankruptcy Counseling and Debtor Education Disclosure – Login

Services are available to any member of the community without regard of race, religion, national origin, gender, social position, handicap, financial status or ability to pay.

All counselors providing this service are certified by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and have an average of three to five years experience in a counseling, education, lending, or credit-related field.

Involvement with a debt management plan could be reflected on your credit report in a favorable or unfavorable way according to creditor’s reporting policies.

The fee for course one, Pre-filing Credit Counseling, is up to $55 for counseling over the telephone or in person and $45 over the internet. The fee for course two, Debtor Education, is up to $59 for counseling over the telephone or in person and $55 over the internet. The fee for returning clients for the debtor education course over the telephone or in person is up to $49 (a savings of $10) or by internet the fee is $35 (a savings of $20). Springboard may waive or reduce the fee if you are unable to pay for the fee. These fees are the same for either a single filer or joint filers if both attend the same session.

Only upon completion of the Pre-filing Credit Counseling will a certificate of completion be issued within one business day.

Only upon completion of the Debtor Education will a certificate of completion be issued within three business days.

Springboard receives funding from its clients, government entities and sponsored enterprises, foundations and corporations who support our counseling and educational services and programs, including voluntary contributions from creditors for clients enrolled in our debt management plan.

  • Fee Waiver Policy — For the Pre-filing Credit Counseling and Debtor Education Course, you will be charged a fee for this service and related certificate.  Springboard will provide services without regard to a client’s ability to pay.  Waiving the fee for services will be assessed based on regulation from the state in which you reside and if your family’s monthly gross income is equal to or less than 150% of the current Federal Poverty Level Guidelines.  For the purposes of this assessment, “your family” is defined as you, your spouse (unless you are separated and not intending to file a joint bankruptcy petition) and any other dependents. To apply for a fee reduction or fee waiver please contact us at 888.425.3453 and one of our certified financial counselors will be able to assist.  Springboard offers counseling services in English and Spanish only, free interpreter assistance may be available for other languages.
